Cost allocation plan files, 1982-[ongoing].

These files are created in the process of determining central service costs allocated to state agencies for federal funds. This series consists of cost allocation plans prepared by a consultant, contracts with the consultant, drafts of cost allocation plans, information on operational costs from agencies, and correspondence between the budget office, the consultant, state agencies, and the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services. The Dept. of Health and Human Services is responsible for approving the cost allocation plans submitted by each state. Two cost allocation plans are prepared each year - one for the actual year and one for the budget year. For example, in 1986 a plan for actual year 1985 and a plan for budget year 1987 were prepared.
